Accessibility Statement
This statement applies to nano-org.bham.ac.uk.
This statement does not apply to content on other bham.ac.uk subdomains (for example, more.bham.ac.uk and mail.bham.ac.uk).
The website is managed by the Research Software Group at the University of Birmingham. We are committed to improving accessibility and are actively working to enhance the user experience for everyone. The website is currently under continuous development, and new features are being added with accessibility in mind.
How accessible is the website
While we aim to make the website as accessible as possible, we are aware of some areas that are not currently fully accessible:
- The User Guide is currently available only as a PDF, which is not fully accessible. An online, accessible version is in development.
- Graphs are not accessible to screen readers due to their dataset-specific nature. However, data can be downloaded (except for self-similarity histograms).
- Some links are not currently accessible to screen readers. These are being reviewed and improved.
Despite these limitations, users should be able to:
- Zoom in up to 300% without problems
- Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
- Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
- Use most of the website with a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver)
